Well it’s Halloween! So many decisions. Apparently, if you are cool, you will dress as the Joker, Obama, or Palin. I am not going to be with them on this. What are you dressing up as?

And then you have to figure out where you are going to go. My good friends Andrew and Jamie used to have the best Halloween party in the area but they live in Florida now. I don’t think we will be hitting that. Do you know where you are spending this Halloween evening?

Do you have kids? Are you a kid? Are you going to be rocking the Trick or Treating tonight?

Hey Friends, this is one picture from a senior portrait that Celestial just got done with. I think it’s pretty great. What do you think?

What do you mean you don’t twitter?! I was talking with Ray, a good friend of mine, and I couldn’t understand why he doesn’t twitter. I thought to myself, he is an interesting individual the world needs a chance to see the world through his eyes; but he doesn’t twitter.

Do you know about Twitter? Here, look to your right. No, not at the pictures. Below that. Those simple little blurbs are my contributions to my Twitter community. Now, there is nothing fantastic there, but that’s the point. Whether you are average Joe, an Indie Musician, or someone cool, there are actually people in the world who are interested in your life.

Here’s the thing! Life happens in the mundane detail. The cool thing about twitter is that it emphasizes the point that a person is interesting because of the views they take, the way they react to things, and the places they go to and from. Do you see what I mean?

Oh, and if you try to tell me that you don’t have time to twitter, please. It takes less than 30 seconds. If you don’t have time to say what you’re doing right at the moment you are trying way to hard to sound awesome. You might not be awesome if you have to try to make it sound like you are. Sorry.

You are interesting simply because you are doing what you do. We don’t care what it is. If we are friends its just cool to know who you really are. And I easily have 500 more things to say about all this but I have to get to a paper that’s due—it is finals week and I am behind. Are you on twitter yet? If you aren’t than tell me why?

Celestial captured a good moment with this pic.  ”Hey, what about me!”  We have all had that feeling at one time or another.

What about you?  You have probably felt left on the shore at a time or two, right?  Or, have you been in the boat?

Today has been an interesting day. My poor son is getting super sick. He does this a lot but he has been pretty good about maintaining a clean bill of health for the last few months. However, this week he has been slowly slipping into his old ways.

It’s a scary thing. Every time my son gets sick, he falls quickly into the same down spiral of breathing difficulties. If you breathe you probably know that breathing difficulties can be scary (if you are reading this I assume you breathe). For parents, this is a nightmare.

When Avery shows even a hint of a cold or cough, we here a sniffle, or even sense the slightest change in the pattern of his breathing, we instantly wip out the breathing medication that his dr. prescribed. The trouble is that the breathing treatment is hated by 2 year olds categorically—my son is no exeption. And yet since we want him to live, we have to give it to him.

The breathing treatment is only a simple little oxygen mask with a canister that holds medicine. It slips over his face and the medicine turns to mist that makes his lungs happy. To the 2 year old, however, it has no benefit. It is an aggravation that keeps an unwanted object in view, hindering wonderful cartoon enjoyment. And thus the 2 year old screems—the whole time. This is no fun.

But, alas… The medicine works. Avery’s lungs are starting to be happy again. Starting! We usually have a few days of this before we are all in the clear. God is good to us, and my son. Health is always remembered as a blessing every time we go through this and we thank the Lord for it. Have you thanked the Lord for anything common lately?

Studying theology with some friends last night lead to me considering the complexity of God that can be seen in this little cartoon. Check it out and let me know what u think.

Well, the office wins the Quote-Awesome award for Thursday night (I just invented the award; I think it’s got a nice ring to it). Dwight said, “She introduced me to so many things: pasteurized milk, sheets, monotheism.” If there is another person out there that is as cool as Dwight let me know. Cheers!

It just dawned on me! My problem is drinking. I have a drinking problem! I drink way too much water. Everyday I get to the closing moments before it becomes tomorrow with a nagging feeling that i didn’t quite get enough done.

It’s noon right now and I’m in the middle of some important stuff. There is a stinging pain that is compelling me to get up and walk to a designated room for relief. I don’t want to stop what I’m doing but I have read some studies that say that such pain isn’t to be ignored ; )

The thing is, I have to drink a lot of water because I get severe dryness in my throat a lot—Not good for singing! To keep moist, I usually try to drink about five 24oz Starbucks cups full of iced water per day and then I add 1 for every cup of coffee.

This is the real problem. For every cup of water, there is 2 trips. So its noon and I am about to head in that direction for the 4th time this morning. That’s why I can’t get anything done. I spend my whole day in route to and from appliances that dispense or expend water.

Solutions anyone. Here are some things the people around me have suggested: Cough drops instead of water. Nope. Change singing style to Chad Kruger’s rasp (Nickel Back). Nope. And then there’s the Catheter.

Heck Nope! What do you suggest?
